A few pieces of Info:
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Napoleonic_Wars#_
Admiral Sir Nesbit Willoughby was after some tribulations, an Admiral in the Royal Navy during the Napoleonic Wars, he’s decended from Percival Willoughby (second son)…theres a Willoughby and Middleton family tree and more info on notable family members, with short biographies, to be found on the Nottm Uni website. The Wiki info is here…

and of course there’s the Sherwood Foresters’ (Notts and Derby) hopefully the correct name Napoleonic connection plus other regional regiments, you can find their history info on their own websites, maybe we should have a whole page devoted to them and their history…their memorial is at Crich in Derbyshire.
Its also possible to search military history for individuals of most dates on the online Ancestry and genealogy websites if you are really keen to know more. The Census records go back as far as 1841…so survivors who weren’t still serving may be included in those, and there are some parish records online for earlier dates. Who knows who fought during those years!!!
