What to do on miserable days??

There’s lots of Stately piles that even kids might like to see, with huge parks, cafes, garden centres…even a fast food stop or chippy on the way there or back, wildlife spot in the parks, send the kids on a nature hunt and wear them out, Notts has lots, parking isnt expensive, cafes have offers and some of the Art Galleries shops like the one at Rufford Abbey are brill.  There’s cycles to hire or take your own at Clumber and Sherwood Pines, and Spooky Newstead Abbey, Sherwood Forest has a Craft Village at Edwinstowe and a bit further afield there’s Chatsworth, Haddon Hall and Hardwicke and Bolsover Castle.
